Hingham Institution Declares Special Dividend of $.25

Hingham Institution for Savings (Nasdaq: HIFS)  declared its regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.24 per share. The dividend will be paid on January 20, 2011 to stockholders of record as of January 10, 2011.
The price oh the share is to 43,14 at the end of the day.

Armstrong World Industries has declared special cash dividend wide.

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (NYSE: AWI) has declared a special cash dividend of $13.74 per share. The special cash dividend will be paid on December 10, 2010 to shareholders of record as of December 3, 2010.  It will be funded in part by the proceeds of the new term loans remaining after repayment of existing debt and in part with cash on Armstrong's balance sheet. The price share has closed today to 46,86 $ on NYSE.  

Guess sets special dividend of 2 $

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Clothing retailer Guess Inc. reported late Tuesday its fiscal third-quarter 2011 net income rose 7.8% to $69.1 million or 75 cents a share, from $64.1 million, or 69 cents, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Oct. 30 rose 17% to a record $613.9 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research had predicted the Los Angeles-based company would report earnings of 59 cents a share on $578 million in sales, with the biggest percentage sales gains seen in Europe. The company also lifted its full-year earnings outlook to $3.02 to $3.06 a share from $2.80 to $2.85, raised its quarterly dividend 25% to 20 cents a share and announced it would pay a one-time dividend of $2.00 a share. AboveNet declares special dividend of $5 by share

AboveNet Inc. ( ABVT) said Tuesday that its board has declared a special one-time cash dividend of $5.
The dividend is payable Dec. 27 to shareholders of record on Dec 6. The total amount of the dividend payment is about $129 million.
The price of the share today is  to 62.00 $.

Pending on market movement

It was a fairly quiet day on the market. No big bang. sectors are mobilized until the next upward or downward. Plan ahead and put a plaster on the peak until the next trend. In Canada, the day was more eventful in regards to all the potash. This will bear watching because there is a high level of activity on the volume. In addition, a group allemend come to buy a potash which is influencing other potash company. This will be monitored during the week

China Digital TV To Pay Special Dividend Of $2 A Share


China Digital TV Holding Co.  declared today a special dividend of $2 USD an ordinary share and per American depositary share, the latest in a long series of companies returning cash to shareholders this year.
The special dividend is expected to cost the company about $117.4 million, or nearly half the cash and short-term investments it had as of Sept. 30. One ADS represents one common share.
Shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 23, 2010, U.S. Eastern Standard Time, will be eligible to receive the dividend. The first installment of the dividend is expected to be paid on or around January 13, 2011, and the second installment is expected to be paid in due course after the completion of the ongoing dividend repatriation process by the Company's PRC subsidiaries.
The provider of access systems to China's digital-television market last week reported third-quarter earnings more than doubled, exceeding estimates, as revenue soared 75%. China Digital also projected fourth-quarter revenue above Wall Street views.
China Digital's ADS closed Friday at $7.26 each and were inactive premarket.

Buckle pay a special dividend of $ 2.50 per share
